Tradução Juramentada

A tradução/versão juramentada é muito mais do que apenas a colocação de um
texto de um idioma para outro, é a produção de um outro documento que tem
fé de ofício (capacidade de surtir os devidos efeitos legais nas repartições públicas brasileiras e do exterior). Os tradutores juramentados são regidos por lei e pela JUNTA COMERCIAL DO ESTADO DE PERNAMBUCO - JUCEPE, não lhes competindo atribuir valores, oferecer descontos, ou negociar preços com os clientes, tendo os emolumentos, em Pernambuco, sofrido reajuste em setembro/2012, através da Resolução n° 001/2012 da JUCEPE, portanto, o
valor que apresento abaixo segue a prática vigente no nosso estado.

RESOLUÇÃO N°001 DE 14 DE AGOSTO DE 2012

"Art. 1º - A Resolução JUCEPE N° 002, de 25.08.2011, que estabelece procedimentos específicos e valores de emolumentos relativos aos Tradutores Públicos e Intérpretes Comerciais, passa a vigorar com as seguintes modificações:
"Art. 1º - Os textos serão subdivididos em comuns e especiais:
a) Textos Comuns: passaportes, certidões dos registros civis, carteiras de identidade, habilitação profissional e documentos similares, inclusive cartas pessoais que não envolvam textos jurídicos, técnicos ou científicos: 
Tradução: R$ 55,00/lauda 
Versão: R$ 60,00/lauda 
b) Textos Especiais: jurídicos, técnicos, científicos, comerciais, inclusive bancários e contábeis, certificados e diplomas escolares: 
Tradução: R$ 60,00/lauda 
Versão: R$ 70,00/lauda

§2°: O valor mínimo de emolumentos a ser percebido por serviço de tradução ou versão será de R$ 80,00 (oitenta reais)."

RESOLUÇÃO JUCEPE N° 002, de 25.08.2011
"Art. 2º - Os emolumentos correspondem à lauda de 25 (vinte e cinco) linhas datilografadas ou equivalentes, sendo que para cada linha excedente será cobrado um acréscimo de 4% (quatro por cento) dos respectivos emolumentos. 
Parágrafo único: para efeito desta Deliberação, entende-se por equivalente a uma lauda de 25 (vinte e cinco) linhas o conjunto de até 1000 (mil) caracteres (não computados os espaços em branco)."

Sworn Translation

(English-Portuguese/Portuguese-English)

 

A sworn translation is much more than just translating a text from one language into another, it involves the production of another document which has legal authority (capacity of producing legal effects in Brazilian and Foreign Public Agencies). The Public Translators, also known as Sworn Translators, are ruled by Law and by the BOARD OF TRADE OF THE STATE OF PERNAMBUCO – JUCEPE. They are not entitled to give discounts or negotiate prices with the clients. Resolution no. 001/2012 from JUCEPE has established the fee table in Pernambuco.

 

According to Decree no. 13,609, October 21, 1943 - Article 35 - Sole Paragraph “Translators are forbidden to give discounts on the fees established in the table issued by the Board of Trade, for the benefit of any person or persons, under penalty of fine, doubled in the case of reoccurrence, and it is the duty of the translator to duly note the total of fees and stamps charged at the end of each translation”.

 

The Public Translator has national and international legal authority. This document is valid within the Federative Republic of Brazil and in all the countries which have signed diplomatic reciprocity agreements with Brazil. Non-acceptance of this document may be considered a crime of responsibility and the person who refuses it may face charges.

Prices are set as follows:

 

Definition of page for sworn translations according to JUCEPE: one page is a group of 1000 characters without spaces or 25 lines per sheet of paper.

 

If the document has only one sheet of paper, and this page has up to 1000 characters without spaces, the price is R$ 80,00 (Eighty Brazilian Reals).

 

Sworn translations are charged according to the number of characters (spaces excluded) included in the document. Prices are determined by the Board of Trade of the State where the translator is registered.

 

Every 1,000 characters = R$ 60.00 (translation from English into Portuguese) and R$ 70.00 (Portuguese into English).

 

When a document has up to 1,000, though, a minimum fee of R$ 80.00 is charged.
